P Digsss (Shapeshifter / The Peacekeepers) & Uncle RayRay are heading home to mash up the Bay with Bass Heavy goodness!
We’ve been waiting for this one and its finally locked in! We can now officially announce that P Digsss & Uncle RayRay are 06 bound to mash up di dance!
Instantly recognizable as the front man for the mighty Shapeshifter, P Digsss has played at major festivals across Aotearoa, including Northern Bass, Rhythm and Vines, Synthony and Rhythm and Alps.
Diggy has been busy throughout 2025 recording and touring with Shapeshifter, though somehow he’s also managed to fit in gigs with the Peacekeepers and some solo sets, including an epic session at 35,000 feet on his way to MC Synthony at the Sydney Opera House!
Although Digsss has played across the globe, Hawkes Bay gigs are special to him having spent his formative years here. Hastings Boys High School records appear to show Diggy spent more time singing and riding skateboards than anyone and we reckon this was a solid life choice!
We are blessed to have him back, so come vibe with ya boy P. Digsss for some strictly top shelf bass goodness on Saturday 7 February!
Joining Digsss is our favourite recluse Uncle RayRay! We asked Uncle for some deets and he had this to say:
“As Uncle RayRay I’m a sometime DJ, music enthusiast & a dad who still appreciates the sound of a rock being dragged across a plastic disc. Apparently others do to, so I’ve been keeping Kāpiti fresh playing wax at Duncan’s Brewery once a month.
Inspired by Mr Scruff, Public Possession & Hessle Audio, you can expect an honest, goofy & pretty funky time on the dance floor as we delve into my collection of 1’s & zeros. As a lad I enjoyed the Laughing Gnome by David Bowie, a little bit of John Denver’s Rhinestone Cowboy & the War of the Worlds gave me the willies!
Although I’m keen on feed & an early night usually, I’m looking forward to returning to Hawkes Bay and hitting it outta the park with some bass heavy selections at the Common Room”!
BADA BING Sound System will be supporting the positive vibrations with their bass heavy rig. Operator A-On will be at the controls to ensure you get that warm, rich sound with the clarity that the ‘Bing is renowned for.
‘nuff said, see you at the Common Room Saturday 7 February!
